Mack Type AC truck
Photographed in the Danish Technical Museum, Helsingör, on 12 June 2012.
Nicknamed 'Bulldog' this type was introduced in 1916 and used during WW1 as a troop transport, among other things. More than 40,000 had been built by the time production ended in 1939.
This truck was one of over 4,000 vehicles left in Europe by the Americans after WW1, and a few of them ended up in Aarhus Oliefabrik, where they worked for over 50 years, despite having a top speed of only 25 km/h.
